Position Overview

FortisBC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability Co-op student to join our Decarbonization & Sustainability department. As a key member of our team, you will assist our Senior Program Manager in various projects and initiatives related to sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with research and data analysis to support sustainability reporting requirements
  • Support the coordination and content generation of Sustainability Advisory Group meetings
  • Track and manage organization performance metrics related to sustainability
  • Review and provide feedback on communications to senior leadership
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve sustainability goals
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have strong communication, planning, and organizational skills. You will also possess the ability to quickly learn processes, identify and organize relevant information, and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor of Business, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related degree program
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel and Word
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
