Job Title: Wealth Management Professional

Scotiabank is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Wealth Management Professional to join our team. As a key member of our Operations department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our business strategies and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the overall success of the Operations department by executing specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives.
  • Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
  • Work with the Operational Projects Team to document requirements, attend meetings, and test project-related activities.
  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader firm's relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Perform data analysis and create, update, and maintain documentation as required.
  • Communicate with business and project teams to define processes and understand how Scotiabank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with the firm's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with Commercial business customers.
  • Enrolled in an MBA or undergrad degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
  • Prior experience in providing customer needs-based advice and solutions.
  • Natural curiosity and passion for satisfying customer needs.
  • Analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook effectively.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
