Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Maintenance and Cleaning Company Canada Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities, as well as supervising and coordinating the activities of our cleaning staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning staff to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Inspect Sites and Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of our facilities to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Recommend Additional Services: Identify areas where additional services may be required, such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Assist Cleaners: Assist cleaning staff in performing their duties, as needed.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Coordinate work activities with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Establish work schedules for cleaning staff to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Participate in Government or Community Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees.
  • Assist with Immediate Settlement Needs: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, such as housing, transportation, and storage.
  • Support Social and Labour Market Integration: Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees, including facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Recruit Displaced Individuals: Recruit individuals who were displaced by conflict or natural disaster, such as those from Ukraine or Afghanistan.
  • Support Foreign Credential Recognition: Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition.
Support for Youths:
  • Offer On-the-Job Training: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth to help them develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
Support for Mature Workers:
  • Participate in Government or Community Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support mature workers.
  • Provide Awareness Training: Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
  • Offer Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for mature workers.
Support for Visible Minorities:
  • Participate in Government or Community Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support members of visible minorities.

Work Term: Permanent

Work Language: English
