Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Maintenance and Cleaning Company Canada Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of cleaning and maintenance staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Inspect and Maintain Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of our facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure that all cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Coordinate Work Activities: Work closely with other departments to coordinate work activities, ensure seamless operations, and maintain a positive working environment.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure that all cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees, providing assistance with settlement needs and social and labour market integration.
  • Support for Youths and Mature Workers: Offer on-the-job training and mentorship opportunities to support the development of youth and mature workers.

Requirements:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Setting: Cleaning service company or restaurant.
