We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Enterprise Architect to lead our technology transformation efforts and drive innovation across Scotiabank.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enterprise Architecture and Modernization
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive enterprise architecture framework that aligns with Scotiabank's business strategy and technology vision.
    • Lead the development of technology roadmaps that outline the bank's current and future technology landscape, guiding decision-making around technology investments and system integration.
    • Oversee the implementation of architecture strategies and best practices across the organization, ensuring technology solutions meet security, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
    • Lead a program of modernization initiatives, overseeing the execution of projects such as cloud migration, data and analytics, artificial intelligence, and automation.
    • Create and govern core enterprise models, including Scotiabank's technology and business capability model, enterprise information model, and technology reference model.
  • Technology Leadership
    • Provide thought leadership on modernization, staying aware of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
    • Apply business and technical acumen to drive new ways of thinking about complex technical and business challenges.
    • Ensure adherence to standards, controls, and overall risk posture of the organization.
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on Scotiabank's operations, providing recommendations for technology adoption and vendor management.
  • Cultural Leadership
    • Lead a team of senior architects and technology professionals, building organizational capability through mentorship and development programs.
    • Build a high-performance environment, implementing a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates team members.
    • Drive a customer-focused culture, deepening client relationships and leveraging broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
    Requirements
    • 10+ years of experience in end-to-end technology architecture, application support, and deployment, preferably in financial services.
    • Delivery of large-scale complex programs at pace, developing high-performing teams to support delivery.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Excellent judgment and analytical skills.
