Senior Insurance Underwriter

We're looking for a skilled Senior Insurance Underwriter to join our Individual Insurance team. As a critical member of our success, this role plays a key role in risk assessment for both life and critical illness products.
The ideal candidate will have strong underwriting expertise, including medical, financial, and non-medical risk factors. You'll be responsible for managing volumes of daily work independently to ensure service standards are met, providing a first-class client experience, and complying with legislative requirements.
A successful Senior Insurance Underwriter at Equitable Life of Canada must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities. They should have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients.
This is a permanent full-time position, and you'll have the opportunity to work from home 100% of the time. However, occasional on-site work may be required. The salary for this role is approximately $85,000 per year, plus additional benefits.
