Job Summary:

As a Radiologic Technologist at Shift Imaging, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality medical imaging services to our patients. Your expertise will be essential in taking x-rays of designated parts of the human body for diagnostic purposes and providing support for the imaging department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Explains procedures to patients to ensure understanding and provides appropriate educational materials and obtains informed consent.

• Verifies patient identity according to policies and procedures and prepares patients for radiology exams by positioning the patient for the procedure.

• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines, preventing patients from being exposed to unnecessary radiation.

• Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable regulations.

• Observes patients during procedure and reports abnormal activity, monitors protocols, and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.

• Ensures prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS and ensures equipment is properly functioning, reporting potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.

Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.

• Certified and currently registered with Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).

• CLXT designation may be considered. At least 12 months of prior related clinical experience preferred. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Experience in Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD) and Mammography is considered an asset but not mandatory for the position.

• CPR/BCLS for healthcare providers required.
