Job Title: Neuropathology SpecialistJob Summary:This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled neuropathology specialist to join our team at Alberta Precision Laboratories. As a key member of our laboratory staff, you will be responsible for conducting complex neuropathological examinations, analyzing tissue samples, and providing expert opinions on disease diagnosis.
Responsibilities:- Conduct microscopic and chemical analyses of laboratory samples and specimens
- Prepare research papers for publication and presentation
- Study the nature, cause and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases
- Supervise laboratory activities
- Act as consultants to other physicians
- Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures
- Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) or equivalent
- Specialty residency training in neuropathology or related field
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Competitive salary range: $180,000 - $220,000 per year
