Job Title: Neuropathology SpecialistJob Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled neuropathology specialist to join our team at Alberta Precision Laboratories. As a key member of our laboratory staff, you will be responsible for conducting complex neuropathological examinations, analyzing tissue samples, and providing expert opinions on disease diagnosis.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct microscopic and chemical analyses of laboratory samples and specimens
  • Prepare research papers for publication and presentation
  • Study the nature, cause and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases
  • Supervise laboratory activities
  • Act as consultants to other physicians
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures
Requirements:
  • Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) or equivalent
  • Specialty residency training in neuropathology or related field
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range: $180,000 - $220,000 per year
