Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join our Ground Engineering and Materials Team based in Kelowna, BC.
The successful candidate will work on high-profile projects throughout BC and Yukon, assisting in the execution of various critical projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with interdisciplinary project teams on complex projects.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients as the primary point of contact.
- Manage geotechnical projects of varying sizes.
- Lead proposals, make engineering decisions, and deliver projects.
- Provide technical services related to geotechnical engineering in field and office environments.
- Communicate regularly with the wider WSP geotechnical community across Canada.
- Participate and contribute to a team environment.
- Promote strong workplace health and safety practices.
- Represent WSP in the community to raise local brand awareness.
Requirements:
- A degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering and a professional engineering license in British Columbia (registered with EGBC).
- Intermediate level of experience in the geotechnical field, ideally with consulting experience.
- Experience in heavy civil geotechnical engineering applications including roads and highways, water and wastewater, tunneling and trenchless methods, slope stability, and numerical analysis.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong verbal and written communication in English.
- Valid BC Driver's License.
- Strong technical, oral, and written communication skills.
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience as a Geotechnical Engineer, Geological Engineer, or related position.
- Exceptional analytical and project management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and cooperate with a team in various environments.

Salary Range: $82,900 - $114,000
The final salary awarded for this role may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business needs.
