Transforming Possibilities in Satellite Systems

We're seeking an experienced Micro-Electromechanical Systems Engineer to join our satellite systems team at our Montreal office. With a focus on delivering exceptional results, you'll be responsible for performing assembly of micro-electromechanical products according to structured work processes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Solder substrates, select suitable substrates, and measure electrical components with precision.
  • Perform electric joints and contacts using welded wires or ribbons, ensuring high-quality connections.
  • Affix substrates to bases or boxes using a pre-programmed oven, adhering to established protocols.
  • Mount components to bases or circuits, guaranteeing optimal alignment and performance.
  • Prepare components for encapsulation, leveraging knowledge of polymeric products and bonding techniques.
  • Conduct sealing and leak tests for boxes, verifying their integrity and functionality.
  • Operate equipment for hybrid sorting, streamlining the production process.
  • Assemble elements in boxes, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and adherence to specifications.
  • Verify product quality, inspecting components and validating compliance with established standards.
  • Support research and development initiatives, driving innovation and improving existing processes.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma, college diploma, or diploma of vocational studies in electronics, mechanics, or a related field.
  • Two to five years of relevant experience in micro-electromechanical assembly and testing.
  • Basic knowledge of English is an asset, with good communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including plans and specifications.
  • Familiarity with manual and semi-automatic equipment for microelectronic assembly.
  • Proficiency in French is required, with excellent language skills.
  • Fine manual dexterity and ability to work with a microscope.
Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is between $60,000 and $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Please note that successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level and pass the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) security assessment.
