As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in assessing, planning, and evaluating client goal achievement through individual and group interventions. Your expertise in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy, will be essential in providing high-quality care to our pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop treatment plans for children and adolescents with complex mental health issues.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as consultation to staff on psychology-related issues.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement program initiatives, ensuring high-quality care and patient outcomes.
- Participate in research and quality assurance initiatives to advance the field of pediatric mental health.
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university, with a preference for those with an emphasis in child psychology.
- Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, with authorization to work with children and adolescents.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of internalizing and externalizing disorders in pediatric populations.
- Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy.
- A minimum of three years of recent, relevant experience in a mental health setting, preferably serving an outpatient pediatric population.
