Job Opportunity

The Creative Director will be a key figure in our ADS & EXP creative team and strategic processes. This individual will be responsible for pitching to clients to secure high-profile work for the advertising department. The CD will collaborate closely with VFX supervisors and artists throughout projects. Additionally, the Creative Director will serve as the creative representative and face of Rodeo FX for our clients.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and help create a vision, guiding all partners towards the end result.

  • Strong understanding of the global advertising market and its various services;
  • Ability to drive creative vision and collaborate with other CDs under the supervision of the ECD to develop the company worldwide;
  • Background in art direction, with a good understanding of the traditional 3D pipeline and awareness of new technologies;
  • Capacity to gather inspiration from unexpected sources and push concepts beyond the usual path;
  • Perfectionism in craft and execution;
  • Ability to pitch our studio, services, and ideas to a wide range of clients (agencies, productions, direct clients) and be comfortable speaking in front of an audience;
  • Capacity to assemble the best teams for each project and find external resources if needed;
  • Responsibility for ensuring productions run smoothly by overseeing the process and chosen pipelines, and collaborating with the head of operations;
  • Ability to challenge briefs, find unexpected solutions to client objectives and strategies, and consider extenuating implications and operations;
  • Collaboration with teams in Toronto, Paris, and Los Angeles, as well as exchanges with customers worldwide to highlight Rodeo FX's technical and creative capabilities.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in the industry, with at least 4 years as a Creative Director, VFX supervisor, Director, or other relevant positions, delivering high-profile TVCs and experiential projects;
  • A strong portfolio with a wide range of projects and high-profile clients;
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical ideas into a common language;
  • Deep curiosity about technology, with some technical knowledge to translate creative ideas into tasks for developers and integrators;
  • UX / Design focus on understanding how to turn brand equity into visuals;
  • Strong communication, organization, and management skills.
