Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Licensed Server to join our team at the City of Mississauga. As a Licensed Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a positive dining experience, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests.
  • Take orders accurately and efficiently, using our point-of-sale system.
  • Process payments and handle customer transactions with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Follow food safety practices and guidelines set by the Region of Peel.
  • Adhere to regulations and guidelines set by the AGCO regarding alcohol service.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including cleaning and sanitizing the dining area.
  • Assist with event set-ups, service, and cleanups.
  • Participate in inventory control and verification.
Requirements
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude with excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service is an asset.
  • Knowledge of WHMIS and Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Emergency First Aid Certificate required or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
  • Food Handlers Certificate required or willingness to obtain prior to starting.
  • Smart Serve Certificate required or willingness to obtain prior to starting.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
