About the Role

The Opportunity

Douglas College is seeking a highly skilled International Marketing and Recruitment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our marketing and recruitment team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing and recruitment strategy for the Middle East and North Africa region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute targeted marketing and recruitment strategies to promote Douglas College's programs in the Middle East and North Africa region.
  • Travel frequently to the region to attend recruitment events, build relationships with education agents and partners, and represent the College.
  • Develop and maintain a network of international education agents to increase international student enrollment at Douglas College.
  • Train and communicate with education agents on a regular basis to ensure they understand the College's international admissions processes, programs, and procedures.
  • Respond to inquiries from students and agents in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop and deliver client-focused publications and materials for student recruitment, including PowerPoint presentations, webinars, and social media campaigns.
  • Provide consultation services to the College on North Africa and Middle East specific needs for recruitment and servicing.
  • Work with international high schools in the region and attend their recruitment fairs.
  • Seek opportunities for institutional partnerships between Douglas College and private or public post-secondary institutions in the region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from a recognized post-secondary educational institution, plus two years' related work experience in post-secondary admissions, marketing, and recruitment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing relationships with external organizations and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective marketing and recruitment strategies and events.
  • In-depth understanding of the field of international student marketing and recruitment.
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and organizing large-scale recruitment events.
  • Current knowledge of Immigration, Refugees, Citizenship, Canada (IRCC) regulations as they pertain to international student admission and registration.
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, including fluency in English and Arabic.
  • Solid working knowledge of the B.C. and Canada post-secondary education systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
  • Experience with web-based communication applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with the public, students, partners, and College stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience providing supervision and feedback to direct or indirect reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to train others and design training materials.
  • Experience presenting to small and large groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to critically analyze, reason, and problem-solve.
  • Well-developed planning, coordinating, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of career opportunities, training, and job requirements for a wide range of academic, vocational, and technical careers.
  • Advanced knowledge of international admissions processes.
