Director of Care Services

At Sienna Senior Living, we are committed to providing exceptional care and services to our residents. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Care RN to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee nursing teams and ensure clinical excellence in our care communities.
- Perform nursing duties to ensure high-quality care is delivered to residents.
- Develop and implement clinical care processes to meet individual resident needs.
- Lead the implementation and monitoring of required clinical programs, such as Falls Prevention and Skin and Wound Care.
- Participate in committees and model positive customer service in all aspects of care.
- Coordinate care processes for the RAI MDS Program, Nursing Rehab, and Restorative Care Program.
- Lead recruitment, retention, and employee labour relations efforts for Personal Support Workers and Care Support Assistants.
- Identify nursing department learning needs and provide education to support clinical care program delivery.
- Provide regular feedback to team members and support home area/neighbourhood leaders with complex care issues.
- Assist in developing, monitoring, and evaluating staffing patterns in accordance with the nursing budget.
- Contribute to the development of job routines for all nursing personnel.
- Current registration with the provincial College of Nurses.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in clinical nursing in seniors' care.
- Excellent proficiency with WORD, email, internet use, and computerized documentation.
- Ability to coach and mentor team members.
- Strong customer service experience.
- Willingness to upgrade and maintain personal and educational qualifications.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent post-diploma education.
- Knowledge of provincial Long Term Care Act & Regulations.
