Director of Care Services

Are you a passionate and innovative leader looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors? We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Care RN to join our team at Cheltenham Community.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee nursing teams and ensure clinical excellence in our care communities.
- Perform nursing duties to ensure high-quality care for residents.
- Lead the implementation and monitoring of clinical programs, such as Falls Prevention and Skin and Wound Care.
- Participate in committees and foster a positive customer service environment.
- Coordinate care processes for the RAI MDS Program and Restorative Care Program.
- Lead recruitment, retention, and employee labour relations efforts.
- Identify learning needs and provide education to support clinical care program delivery.
- Provide regular feedback and performance evaluations to team members.
- Support home area leaders with complex care issues.
- Assist in staffing pattern development and contribute to job routine development.
- Current registration with the provincial College of Nurses.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in clinical nursing in seniors' care.
- Excellent proficiency with WORD, email, internet use, and computerized documentation.
- Ability to coach and mentor team members.
- Strong customer service experience.
- Willingness to upgrade and maintain personal and educational qualifications.
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing or equivalent post-diploma education.
- Knowledge of provincial Long Term Care Act & Regulations.
