Senior Software Development Engineer Position

At Amazon Web Services, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating high-throughput, reliable, distributed systems on a global scale.

We are looking for a strong technical leader who can effectively partner with others, keep the big picture in sight, inform prioritization, build consensus, and rally the team behind it. Core responsibilities include designing and implementing complex system components while maintaining an uncompromising bar on quality and supporting less experienced team members in growing their craft.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement complex system components
  • Maintain an uncompromising bar on quality
  • Support less experienced team members in growing their craft
  • Partner with others to inform prioritization and build consensus
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • ~7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • ~5 years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • ~Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
