Senior Production Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Production Planner to join our team at ML6 Search + Talent Advisory. As a key member of our production control team, you will play a vital part in managing key functions within production control, ensuring accurate and timely support for both customers and internal teams across various departments.
Key Responsibilities- Production Schedule Review: Review production schedules and work orders to determine material requirements and priorities.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with department supervisors and other personnel to assess progress and discuss necessary changes.
- Production Schedule Analysis: Analyze production schedules against customer commitments and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Inventory Management: Maintain and update the Open Order Report daily, reviewing the previous day's shipments and coordinating with supervisors on components ready for shipment.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor system accuracy continuously and implement improvements.
- Customer Service: Distribute Open Customer Orders Reports weekly, and review select customer orders for accuracy, updating delivery dates, and addressing any delays.
- Vendor Management: Manage Bell VMI (vendor-managed inventory), conducting daily reviews to ensure sufficient inventory levels, and triggering production orders through Transfer orders.
- Education and Experience: University or College education with relevant experience in production and inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and solid business knowledge.
- Technical Skills: Experience with ERP systems, particularly Syteline, and knowledge of ISO9001/TS 16949 Quality system standards.
