About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Care to join our team at Glen Rouge Community. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centered care to residents.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans that address the individual needs and preferences of residents.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, identifying areas of improvement and implementing evidence-based practices to enhance resident outcomes.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate nursing professionals, including Registered Nurses (RN), Registered Practical Nurses or Licensed Practical Nurses (RPN/LPN), and Personal Support Workers or Health Care Aides (PSW/HCA).
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, communication, and professional growth among team members.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and standards governing long-term care homes in Ontario or British Columbia.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to resident care, medication administration, and incident reporting to meet regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
Requirements
  • You are compassionate and dedicated to meaningful work that supports seniors in living life fully.
  • You have completed a Bachelor of Nursing Science or have an equivalent post-diploma education.
  • You are currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses.
  • You have a minimum of 1 year of experience working as a nurse in Long Term Care.
  • You have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as a Registered Nurse in a managerial or supervisory capacity in a healthcare setting.
