Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Procurement Specialist to join our team at the Administration portuaire de Montréal. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the procurement process, ensuring compliance with our procurement policy and procedures, and with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Coordination
    • Coordinate the procurement process, ensuring that all procurement requirements are met in an optimal manner.
    • Identify and analyze procurement needs, determine preferred procurement strategies, and select appropriate solicitation channels.
  • Contract Management
    • Manage and set up contracts, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and that contracts are executed in accordance with our procurement policy and procedures.
    • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Supply Chain Optimization
    • Contribute to the improvement of our overall supply chain process, ensuring that best practices are monitored and implemented.
    • Ensure that health and safety criteria, environmental considerations, and social responsibility are integrated into procurement processes.
  • Market Research and Analysis
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in our procurement processes.
    • Monitor and analyze market conditions, supply sources, and cost structures to ensure that our procurement needs are met in an optimal manner.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, specialization in operations and logistics management or other relevant discipline.
  • 7 to 10 years' of relevant experience in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Accreditation in Procurement and Supply Chain Management is an asset.
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Bilingual (spoken and written French and English).
  • Prior experience using the SAP MM module is an asset.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, along with flexibility and initiative.
