Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with the sale of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Zoning the department to ensure a visually appealing and easy-to-navigate shopping experience.
  • Rotating stock and checking for expired products to maintain high-quality merchandise.
  • Ensuring merchandise is properly signed and priced to prevent errors and discrepancies.
  • Adhering to food safety and handling procedures, as well as sanitation and cleaning protocols, to maintain a clean and safe store environment.
  • Following proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels, and other related tasks.
  • Ensuring the department is fully stocked with merchandise and is ready for business.
  • Following Health and Safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Stocking merchandise, picking, and downstocking as needed, while applying product protection when required.
Requirements
  • A minimum rate of pay starting from $15.75, with the potential for increased pay based on relevant experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous retail or customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
