Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Lakeridge Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality sonographic images required to complete examinations requested.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under the general supervision of the Radiologists, Charge Sonographer, Senior Sonographer &/or Manager, the Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will utilize ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality sonographic images.
- Successful completion of a recognized Ultrasound program is required.
- Current registration with the C.M.R.I.T.O. is required.
- Significant experience in abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, neuro, and interventional ultrasound procedures is required.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Proven organizational skills are required.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and exercise independent judgement is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to assess requests and prioritize them to ensure excellent and prompt patient care is required.
- Proven ability to adapt standard work procedures to emergency situations is essential.
- Must be able to be part of the ultrasound standby rotation and respond within the time limit of a call back.
- Postgraduate experience in a hospital-based Ultrasound department is preferred.
- Physically capable of bending, lifting, turning, transferring patients manually and with mechanical aids.
- Must have satisfactory performance record.
