Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Psychiatrist to join our team at Homewood Health, a leading provider of mental health and addiction services. As a Psychiatrist on our adult inpatient team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adult patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Conduct daily rounds and provide ongoing supervision and management of patient care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Document patient care and treatment plans in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in patient care.

Requirements

  • Specialist certification in Psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPS) or equivalent body acceptable to the RCPS (C) and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
