Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Homecare Assistant to join our team at Northwood.

About the Role:

As a Homecare Assistant, you will provide personalized care and support to clients in their homes, promoting their independence and well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Perform light housekeeping duties and meal preparation
  • Offer respite for families and caregivers
  • Document client concerns, progress notes, and incident reports
  • Complete other tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Continuing Care Assistant Provincial Certificate or equivalent
  • Completion of Standard First Aid and CPR C
  • Alzheimer/Dementia care course
  • Availability to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Previous related experience preferred
