About the Role

CAE is seeking a highly skilled IT Solutions Architect to join our Digital Accelerator team. As a key member of our team, you will play a technical leadership role in multidisciplinary teams, driving the creation of innovative solutions that meet our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions, ensuring alignment with our technological vision, cybersecurity, compliance, and availability requirements.
  • Provide expertise and advice to technology teams, ensuring they understand the architectural and technology options that support their business initiatives.
  • Participate in defining CAE's cloud adoption strategy and its impact on solution architecture, application modernization, and cloud governance.
  • Support delivery teams in their agile transformation and adoption of DevOps practices, contributing to a collaborative and stimulating work environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with new trends and participate in CAE's technology watch.

Requirements

  • University degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • At least eight years' experience in IT and three to five years' experience in solution or project architecture.
  • Personal motivation, energy, team player, and results-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative matrix environment.
  • Experience working with system integrators or in the implementation of supplier products an asset.
  • Good understanding of networking principles.
  • Ability to work with the cybersecurity team through knowledge of cybersecurity principles and their impact on the solution architecture.
  • Solid understanding of web application architecture and design principles.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, etc.) required.
  • Motivated by continuous learning and ability to learn quickly about new technologies.
  • Experience in developing solutions in heterogeneous and hybrid application environments.
  • Good knowledge of the IT application development life cycle.
  • Exposure to multiple and diverse technologies and processing environments.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) required.
