Job Title: Electrical Motor Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Motor Technician to join our team at MEL. As an Electrical Motor Technician, you will be responsible for testing and observing electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment, troubleshooting and repairing electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment
  • Wind, assemble, and install various types of coils
  • Perform on-site servicing and repair
  • Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear
  • Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear, or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance

Requirements:

  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Or equivalent experience
  • Electrical Mechanic Trade Certification
  • Motor Winder Trade Certification
