Job Summary
Holcim is seeking a skilled Flag Person to join our asphalt division team. As a Flag Person, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of road users and construction personnel by effectively controlling traffic and pedestrian flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement traffic control measures to maintain a safe working environment
- Collect and sort material tickets to ensure accurate inventory management
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
- Set up and dismantle barricades and signs to maintain a safe and organized work site
- Participate in daily safety meetings to discuss site-specific hazards and concerns
- Demonstrate self-motivation and dependability in a fast-paced construction environment
Requirements and Qualifications
- Class-5 license and reliable transportation
- Previous flagging experience or certifications are an asset
- Ability to work long hours, including weekends and overtime
- Capacity to stand for extended periods and work in varying weather conditions
Essential Skills
- Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with construction crews and management
