Overview
Holcim is seeking a skilled Flag Person to join our asphalt division team in Edmonton. This role involves traffic and pedestrian control on roadways, collecting and sorting material tickets, and following safe work practices.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safe traffic flow and pedestrian control on construction sites
- Collect and sort material tickets accurately
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
- Set up and tear down barricades and signs as required
- Participate in daily safety meetings and contribute to a safe working environment
Specific Accountabilities
- Previous experience working with construction crews and meeting production goals
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and nights as needed
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and tolerate dust, dirt, and loud noises
Qualifications and Qualities
- Class-5 license and reliable transportation
- Previous flagging experience or certifications are an asset
- Ability to work long hours and weekends
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
Essential Skills
- Effective oral communication
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
