Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Servetronics Manufacturing Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods, materials, and equipment within the organization. This includes planning, organizing, and overseeing the operational logistics of the organization, as well as ensuring the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compile orders and instructions received from customers
  • Develop specific plans to prioritize tasks and optimize logistics operations
  • Organize tasks to accomplish work efficiently and effectively
  • Oversee operational logistics of the organization, including inventory management and supply chain coordination
  • Plan and organize operational logistics of the organization, including transportation and shipping
  • Track and complete work orders, and maintain accurate records
  • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments, including warehouse and production units
  • Monitor movement of supplies and materials between departments, and ensure accurate inventory levels
  • Perform routine clerical duties, including data entry and report preparation
  • Read blueprints, written specifications, and production drawings to ensure accurate interpretation of instructions
  • Prepare and submit reports, including progress reports and inventory reports
  • Ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed
  • Ensure accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll, and other summaries
  • Ensure proper functioning of equipment, and maintain work records and logs
  • Monitor personnel workloads and locations, and organize warehouse and work areas to optimize efficiency
  • Perform general office duties, including answering phones and responding to emails
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Co-ordinate activities with warehouse and production units, and co-ordinate traffic flow of supplies
  • Compile worksheets and specifications of orders, and consult with production supervisor to schedule production runs in a cost and time-efficient manner
  • Prepare and maintain progress and other reports, and project manage tasks and activities
  • Provide customer service, and train workers in duties and policies
  • Arrange training for staff, and conduct performance reviews
  • Co-ordinate, assign, and review work, and requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Advise vehicle operators of traffic and other problems, and assist with maintenance of communications equipment
  • Communicate with ships, aircraft, and other remote operations, and dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders
  • Dispatch personnel as required by emergency situations, and follow-up on issues with work orders
  • Keep track of shipments, and maintain knowledge of cross-border dispatching regulations and practices
  • Maintain vehicle operator work records, and process and transmit information and instructions to co-ordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment
  • Record mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses, and respond to urgent calls from individuals who find themselves in life-threatening situations and who require assistance
  • Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment, and organize and maintain inventory
  • Establish work schedules and procedures, and plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics of the organization
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in logistics or a related field
  • Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain coordination
  • Ability to plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics of the organization
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of transportation and shipping regulations and practices
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
  • Knowledge of computer equipment and machinery, and ability to ensure smooth operation
