Associate Director, Group Risk Management, Commercial Credit

The Associate Director is a key member of the Group Risk Management team, responsible for credit adjudication of Automotive Finance Group, Indigenous Markets, Equipment Leasing, and Asset Based Lending transactions within the Bank's Commercial Financial Services Market. This role requires strong risk assessment and analysis skills, as well as excellent communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
Key Responsibilities- Champion client experience initiatives and apply a continuous improvement approach to achieve superior client experience levels
- Enhance change management by ensuring how we approach change is reflective of a One RBC mindset
- Take ownership of client problems at first point of contact and ensure clients and colleagues are treated with respect, empathy, and integrity
- Demonstrate commitment to teamwork by building capability, identifying opportunities to enhance client relationships and improve RBC revenue
- Be strategically aligned with business strategies while maintaining the Bank's desired risk profile
- Demonstrate leadership and commitment to build/expand/leverage good working relationships with relevant GU(s) executive and Indigenous/CFS/AFG/ABL personnel
- Ensure accurate and consistent processes/controls are in place and being followed to protect shareholder interests
- Ensure credit transactions are adjudicated within Policy Guidelines, Standards, and Procedures
- 3+ years of risk management experience and/or Commercial Account Management experience with a focus on Indigenous Markets, Equipment Leasing, Automotive Finance Group, and Asset Based Lending
- Strong risk assessment and analysis skills
- Strong communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
- Undergraduate degree in business with preferred postgraduate qualifications (CFA, CMA, CA, CPA, MBA, etc.)
