About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manager to join our Financial Reporting & Insights team in Ottawa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising the preparation of working paper files, financial statements, corporate and personal tax returns, and providing technical and project management leadership skills to team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and complete working paper files, financial statements, and corporate and personal tax returns as needed.
  • Provide technical and project management leadership skills to team members for Accounting projects and engagements.
  • Assist in the direction and training of staff, reviewing completed files to ensure quality of work.
  • Prioritize projects, establish budgets, and assign staff to meet client deadlines.
  • Maintain a positive client relationship and identify possible new business opportunities with existing clients.
  • Participate in delivering formal project/team performance review and/or giving effective input to reviewers on team members.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of the CPA designation.
  • 3-4 years of experience with Notice to Readers or Assurance engagements, corporate and personal tax, and compilations.
  • Bilingual (English and French).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage workload demands.
  • Excellent skills in Accounting Software, including Sage, QuickBooks, Caseware, and Excel.
