Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Data Scientist II - AI Architect to join our team. As a key technical leader, you will play a crucial role in shaping our AI strategy and driving the development of innovative AI solutions across our platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • AI Technology and Architecture Development: Define and drive the AI technology and architectural directions for Seismic, ensuring alignment with business goals and product roadmaps.
  • AI Use Case Development: Work hands-on with data scientists and machine learning engineers to build AI & ML applications, assessing tradeoffs and evaluating options to deliver high-quality and high-value product solutions.
  • Integration: Lead the integration of AI capabilities across the Seismic platform, including data foundation, conversational intelligence, video analysis, content management, and discovery systems.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide strong technical leadership and guidance to the data science and engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Product Innovation: Collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-driven product enhancements and collaborate on AI product roadmap development.
  • Performance Optimization: Define and analyze key metrics to measure the success of AI initiatives, ensuring high-quality, high-performance, scalable, and reliable solutions.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience in data science and AI, with a proven track record of building AI software products and leading technical efforts.
  • Strong expertise in AI & ML model and use case development, including hands-on experience with Python or related languages for data analytics, GenAI, and machine learning.
  • Extensive experience in SaaS application development and cloud technologies, with a deep understanding of modern machine learning technologies and operational infrastructure.
  • Experience in collaborating with product management and design, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions that drive successful delivery.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their full potential.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a strategic mindset and the ability to develop a strong point of view and drive vision forward.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven company.
