We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Black Sheep Pub & Liquor Store. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to a high standard, ensuring that all dishes are presented attractively and are of high quality.
- Menu Planning and Estimation: Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization, taking into account the number of customers and the type of cuisine being served.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, ensuring that all stock is up to date and that orders are placed in a timely manner.
- Staff Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, ensuring that all staff are aware of food safety and hygiene procedures.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that all customers are satisfied with their meals and that any issues are resolved promptly.
- Teamwork: Work as part of a team to ensure that all areas of the kitchen are running smoothly and that all staff are aware of their responsibilities.
- Education: No degree, certificate or diploma is required for this role.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.
- Skills: Excellent cooking skills, ability to work under pressure, and strong communication skills are essential for this role.
