Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Conservation Professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading wildlife programs, analyzing wildlife field data, preparing components of environmental assessments, writing wildlife management and monitoring plans, and supporting environmental permitting activities for various projects. Your strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex ideas will be essential in delivering high-quality results.

Your Key Responsibilities:

1. Promote a healthy and safe work environment and actively participate in Stantec's Health, Safety, Security and Environment Program.
2. Develop, manage, and implement terrestrial wildlife programs, including biophysical inventories.
3. Conduct environmental assessments, prepare management and monitoring plans, and coordinate regulatory applications.
4. Coordinate and track assignments, scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables according to approved scopes of work.
5. Communicate effectively with clients and project management teams.
6. Support junior staff in their professional development and provide technical guidance when needed.

Qualifications:

You should have strong wildlife expertise, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience supervising junior staff. A bachelor or graduate degree in biology or a related field is preferred, and registration with the British Columbia College of Applied Biology as a Registered Professional Biologist (R.P.Bio.) or Registered Biology Technologists (R.B. Tech.) is required.
