Job Title: Finish Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team at Solid Wood Home Services Inc. as a key member of our construction team.

Job Summary:

The Finish Carpenter will be responsible for installing and finishing various components of residential and commercial construction projects, including trim, molding, doors, and windows. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Install and finish trim, molding, doors, windows, and other components
  • Instruct and mentor apprentices and junior team members
  • Maintain and repair residential and commercial structures, including wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, outdoors, and in noisy environments
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to handle heavy loads
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
