Job Title: Inventory Control Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Manager to join our team at Canada Inc. as an Inventory Control Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating activities with other work units or departments, preparing and submitting reports, and ensuring the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
  • Prepare and submit reports
  • Ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Recruit and hire staff
  • Train workers in duties and policies
  • Arrange training for staff
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Co-ordinate, assign and review work
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
  • Establish work schedules and procedures
  • Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization

Supervision: The Inventory Control Manager will supervise 5-10 people, including purchasing and inventory clerks, shippers and receivers, storekeepers and parts clerks, and transportation route and crew schedulers.

Computer and Technology Knowledge: The successful candidate will have knowledge of MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Windows.

Security and Safety: A basic security clearance is required for this position.

Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: The Inventory Control Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with tight deadlines, and will require attention to detail.

Own Tools/Equipment: The successful candidate will require a cellular phone.

Personal Suitability: The Inventory Control Manager will require accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, judgement, reliability, and team player skills.
