Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Pharmacy Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy team in providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and providing patient counseling
  • Conduct inventory management and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
  • Develop and maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care
Requirements
  • College diploma or certificate in pharmacy technology or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably in a hospital or clinical pharmacy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices
