The Role:

As a member of our Acoustics, Noise and Vibration team, you will play a critical role in delivering projects that control noise and vibration, ensuring the success of buildings and structures. Your expertise will be applied to perfecting concert hall acoustics, reducing vibrations in tall buildings, and protecting sensitive equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to address challenging problems and deliver high-quality results.
  • Collect and analyze data, develop models, and document results to inform project decisions.
  • Conduct field measurements and inspections to ensure project compliance and quality.
  • Lead project teams and develop junior engineers to drive project success.
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and marketing materials to communicate project outcomes and value.

Requirements:

  • University degree in structural dynamics or a related field, with advanced degrees an asset.
  • Experience in structural dynamics and vibration control, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with measurement instruments and modeling software, including ultra-low-level vibration measurements and predictions.
  • Ability to deliver quality work while respecting budgets and schedules.
  • Knowledge of tuned mass damper design and whole-building isolation is an asset.

Compensation:

The base rate for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 CAD annually, plus bonus and benefits. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual qualifications, and experience.
