Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Actively participating in construction planning, estimating, and execution
  • Managing craft, subcontractors, and all other resources as a general contractor
  • Helping us build a competitive and sustainable team
  • Demonstrating safety leadership
  • Ensuring the workforce has the required capabilities and certifications
  • Ensuring field installation work packages are developed and clear
  • Ensuring equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with our standards and practices
  • Directing and coordinating multiple projects and teams
  • Anticipating, identifying, and resolving conflicts and issues, and communicating changes to stakeholders and customers
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a superintendent in the infrastructure, mining, or energy sector
  • Minimum 10 years' construction experience
  • Journeyperson trade certification or diploma/degree in construction management/engineering
  • Estimating experience is considered an asset
  • Experience leading an annual portfolio of projects valued at $5M+
  • Solid understanding of construction methods and blueprint reading
  • Superior leadership skills
  • Developed analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Reside in or around the Saskatoon area
  • Ability to travel and work on project sites across Saskatchewan
