About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at Canada West Equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision: Hire, supervise and schedule staff to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks
  • Grounds Maintenance: Plan and direct grounds maintenance activities, including mowing, pruning, and planting
  • Labour and Materials Planning: Plan and estimate labour and materials required for projects
  • Work Records: Maintain accurate work records and logs to track progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Contract Administration: Tender and administer contracts for services and materials
  • Equipment Maintenance: Repair and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies as needed
  • Work Scheduling: Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources
Team and Work Environment

The successful candidate will be working with a team of 3-4 people and will be required to participate in a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team
