About the Role:

WestRock is seeking a skilled Journeyman to join our Bindery team in Mississauga. As a key member of our afternoon shift, you will be responsible for cross-referencing completed jobs, sharing updated information with the Cutter team, and resolving order issues with Customer Service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and update job information for the Cutter team
  • Collaborate with Customer Service to resolve order discrepancies
  • Audit ready-to-go orders
  • Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling and documentation
  • Work with the Finance team to close out outstanding Work in Progress (WIP)
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, etc.) is an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stand and walk 100% of shift on a concrete floor and lift 40 pounds
  • Must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Must maintain good attendance

Shift Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 3:00 PM to 10:30 PM
  • Friday: 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed, with significant overtime possible during busy periods
