We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Argcon Group Inc. as a key member of our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to carpentry, including preparing estimates, reading blueprints, and measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Estimate costs and materials
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment
- Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks
- Ability to work in a team environment
