We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Leadership and Advocacy Assistant. This position will provide support to various initiatives relating to student leadership, clubs, scholarships, and events.

About the Role:

  • This role is ideal for a student who is passionate about supporting their peers and contributing to a dynamic team environment.
  • You will work closely with the Manager, Leadership & Advocacy to develop and implement strategies that promote student engagement and success.
  • This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of programs and services that promote student leadership and advocacy.
  • Assist with the coordination of events and activities that foster student engagement and community building.
  • Provide administrative support to the Manager, Leadership & Advocacy, including data management and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for student engagement and development.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with students, staff, and faculty to promote student success and well-being.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a current Humber College or University of Guelph-Humber student.
  • Must commit a minimum of 24 hours per week.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
