Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Officer to join our team at Designer Flooring. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating new administrative procedures, delegating work to office support staff, and establishing work priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate new administrative procedures to ensure they align with organizational goals
  • Delegate work to office support staff to ensure efficient task completion
  • Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met
  • Administer policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation
  • Assist in the preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls
  • Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals, and correspondence
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
  • Train staff on new procedures and policies
  • Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures
  • Oversee payroll administration and ensure timely payment
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience in an administrative role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Reliability and ability to maintain confidentiality
