Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team at Worldwide Satellite Inc. As a Telecommunications Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Installation and Maintenance
    • Install, arrange, remove, and maintain telephone equipment, wiring, and associated hardware.
    • Inspect operation of telecommunications equipment and identify any faults or issues.
  • Network Troubleshooting and Repair
    • Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace, or repair telecommunications equipment.
    • Analyze test results and adjust, change, or repair switching system, network, associated equipment, and software.
  • Customer Service
    • Complete and maintain test and service reports.
    • Determine nature, cause, and location of trouble.
  • Technical Support
    • Install electromechanical, analog, and digital trunking systems, circuits, and equipment in telecommunications central offices and switching centers.
    • Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in telecommunications equipment installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Skills
    • Ability to distinguish between colors.
    • Manual dexterity.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Client focus, flexibility, reliability, and accuracy.
