About the Role

Mainroad Group is seeking a highly skilled Communications Assistant to join our dynamic Communications Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and managing content for external and internal audiences, including website updates, social media, and the company intranet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Creation: Develop and implement a content strategy to engage our target audience and promote the company's brand.
  • Social Media Management: Manage and schedule social media content, including creating and publishing messages, responding to comments and messages, and analyzing engagement metrics.
  • Community Outreach: Support community outreach efforts, including developing and implementing outreach strategies, building relationships with community partners, and promoting the company's community involvement.
  • Project Management: Take on various communications projects as needed, including researching and writing articles, creating graphics and videos, and coordinating with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Multimedia Specialist and other team members to ensure seamless execution of communications initiatives.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary education in Communications, Public Relations, Media Relations, or Marketing, or equivalent experience in the related field(s).
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience with social media, including creating messages and campaigns, scheduling, and navigating social media platforms.
  • Skills: Superior written and oral communication skills, strong technical, creative writing, and creative design skills, excellent time management skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
