About the Role:As an R&D Engineer/Chemist, you will work under the authority of the R&D/QC lab supervisor to develop and implement research and development projects for various products. You will also support the team with quality control testing and procedures for all products produced in the plant.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement tests to verify product compliance and corrective actions for non-compliance related to formulations.
- Collaborate with the R&D/QC lab supervisor and other R&D personnel to write and review R&D formulations, track compiled results, and review product manufacturing procedures.
- Supervise and/or perform research steps for various chemicals.
- Complete and process appropriate forms related to tasks.
- Perform all other related tasks in accordance with Sika Canada Inc. quality assurance procedures.
- Complete and revise Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and pass information to Production Coordinator to complete safety labels.
- Implement environmental management program procedures applicable to the business area.

- Work experience in research and quality control preferably in a related field.
- Fluent in English; oral and written. Bilingual English/French considered an asset.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Skills to design and implement solutions for problem-solving.
- Work in laboratory, dry and/or humid environment.
- Must be able to occasionally lift loads of up to 30 kg.
- Handling various chemicals, personal protective equipment is required.
- Uniform provided.
