About the JobThis is a unique opportunity for an experienced Electrical/Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our team in Pickering or Kincardine, Ontario (remote work will also be considered). As part of our proven team, you will perform non-routine and varied engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks, and resolution of field problems.
Key Responsibilities- Performing non-routine and varied engineering assignments in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks, and resolution of field problems.
- Ensuring compliance with government, organization, and customer engineering standards.
- Independently evaluating, selecting, and applying technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making adaptations and modifications.
- Utilizing existing and/or acquired technical expertise to find improved technical solutions to support the product lifecycle/replacement of current Framatome technologies.
Experience with Oil and Gas or/and Ontario Power Generation or Bruce Power Nuclear.
- Control logic, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams.
- Process Monitoring.
- Integration with PLC (Schneider, Rockwell, ABB, GE, etc.).
- Software Qualification and Cyber Security.
- Electrical Engineering Core Skills:
- Power distribution, Motor Control Centers and Switchgear, High Voltage Systems and Equipment Design.
- Amplifiers, Digital and Analog filters.
- Electronic Circuits.
- Circuit Analysis (e.g. coordination studies, arc-flash, load study, voltage drop, and cable sizing calculations).
