Nursing Role Overview:

At the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, we're seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. As an LPN, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our patients' recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide independent nursing services to designated patients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Administer prescribed medical treatments, maintaining accurate records of patient care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and discharge plans.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority's vision, values, goals, and objectives.

Requirements:
  • Recent experience in a clinical setting, preferably in the applicable area.
  • Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program.
  • Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
  • CPR training and certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Licensed Practical Nurses.
  • Principles of delegation and prioritization of patient care.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
