Job SummaryThis Heavy Equipment Operator position is responsible for operating heavy equipment used in construction and maintenance of roads, buildings, and other structures as well as material handling work.
The hourly wage for this role is $50.00-$75.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities- Operate heavy equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, bulldozers, loaders, and graders to excavate, move, load, and grade earth, rock, and gravel.
- Operate snow blowers and plough trucks to remove snow from roads and parking lots.
- Operate heavy equipment to spread or compact road surface materials during road construction and maintenance.
- Operate heavy equipment to move, load, and unload cargo.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate, and refill equipment.
- Completion of secondary school.
- Valid class driver's license required.
- Clean driving abstract.
- A minimum five years of experience operating heavy equipment required.
- Ability to operate with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
ATCO Frontec has been operating in Resolute Bay since 2000 and has a long history of providing services in the North.
The ATCO Frontec team in Resolute Bay provides logistics services for various Northern Government and private sector initiatives.
